Every morning, students at James McHenry Elementary are greeted by Ms. Tonette Towler — who not only gets them safely across the street, but offers a few words of encouragement along the way. She’s been the school’s crossing guard for 12 years, and a volunteer for 20. A Baltimore native and mother of four, Ms. Towler has touched thousands of students’ lives, and made a huge impact on the community. We’re proud to name her one of Baltimore’s best.
